Dit zou alleen een studie moeten zijn voor een cursus aquarelleren om nat-in-nat schilderen te oefenen. Maar na de oefening vond ik het onderwerp te mooi om daar te eindigen. Daarom verwerkte ik de studie tot een schilderij.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het ras is in Europa terechtgekomen doordat Europeanen eind 1800 katten uit Thailand (voorheen bekend als Siam) meebrachten. De oorspronkelijke vorm was zwart, maar dat zie je nu alleen aan de uiteinden van de poten, staart en kop. De rest is door teelt de belende lichte kleur geworden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De siamees is in de loop der tijd steeds eleganter van model geworden. Ze worden tegenwoordig gefokt met een dun hoogbenig lichaam, en een lange kop grote wijdgeplaatste oren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het zijn erg sociale dieren en hebben veel behoefte aan aandacht van huisgenoten. Ze willen zich overal mee bemoeien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This should only be a study for a watercolor painting course to practice wet-on-wet painting. But after the exercise I thought the subject was too good to end there so I turned the study into a real painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Siamese cat made its way to Europe due to Europeans bringing in cats from Thailand (formerly known as Siam) in the late 1800s. The original shape was black, but now you can only see that on the ends of the legs, tail and head. The rest has become the well-known light color through cultivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Siamese has become more and more elegant in model over time. They are now bred with a thin, long-legged body, and a long head with large, wide-set ears.
They are very social animals and need a lot of attention from housemates. They want to interfere in everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
